 Mission Statement

History of Chilton Primary School

There has been a school in Chilton since the Victorian period
and we have been based on our current site since 1953.
In June 2002 we moved into our fantastic new building which
offers the latest purpose built facilities for children aged 3-11.

The school is in a unique setting, surrounded by rolling down
land and a large scientific community.  We are therefore in the
best possible positon to offer an education based on the
advantages of a beautiful environment, roots in an historic
village and the very latest in modern technology.

    • Building relationships based on mutual trust and respect
    • Expecting all children to share responsibility for their environment
    • Developing the children's understanding of the place of human beings within nature
    • Developing self-confidence and encouraging children to step outside of their comfort zone
    • Having high expectations of every child and support them in achieving their potential
