The King’s School Orrery is a copy of the Human Orrery based at Armagh Observatory in Northern Ireland. The Human Orrery itself is based on one at the Dynic Astropark in Japan. The Human Orrery allows students to act the part of planets and other objects in our Solar System. As part of Project Faraday, The King’s School was allowed to copy the Human Orrery and has worked with Armagh to develop educational materials for use at all ages and levels. The King’s School Orrery is free to use by any school. Use of the facility is through a simple booking system via email.
